The Importance of Community

Health Benefits Linked to the Importance of Community

This webinar is focused on the importance of community by which I mean your community of support, i.e., friends, family, and your personal relationships. We all need our own team when it comes to having fulfilling social engagements. This ‘team’ can be considered your community for which you rely on for inspiration, encouragement, good times, and help to get through trying times.

Building a strong personal community can have many impacts on health, both physically and mentally. The importance of positive mental health is often overlooked. When it comes to discussions about mental health, we usually talk about conditions of poor mental health, such as depression. Positive mental health is more than the absence of poor health, and having a strong system of support plays a major role.

Developing and maintaining strong, healthy relationships takes time and effort but can overall improve our stress levels and promote healthy behaviors.

Did you know research has concluded that a lack of social relationships has the same effect on health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day? As I said, the importance of community on health cannot be overstated!

My goal is to share with you the benefits of community on mental health, which is why I invite you to attend my next webinar, The Importance of Community, on Wednesday, March 24th at 12:00 pm CDT.

Good Relationships Require Work

During this experience, you will learn techniques for building and maintaining strong relationships as well as how to be a better communicator.

There is a very good chance that over the years of trying to build strong community ties you have made some lasting relationships. Maintaining and even building strong bonds aren’t always easy. Understanding what someone else is looking for in a friend takes time and effort, but with practice and genuine mutual interest, relationships are worth the work.

I can provide traits to look for in friends as well as teach you how to boost communication skills to be the kind of friend you are seeking. There are a number of skills we need when it comes to communicating, some of which we need to practice daily.

Building a Strong Community

I am motivated to help you build your community in order to improve your positive mental health. Having close relationships, a fulfilling social life, and support systems are crucial aspects of community. This plays a major role in health and wellbeing.

Too many people suffer from isolation, depression, and overall poor mental health. We all need social connections to thrive. For some of us, social interactions and building relationships come easy, for others, it can be a daunting task. I ask you to let go of your fears and take a chance on someone new. You truly have nothing to lose.

Relationships are challenging, but you can learn to be a better communicator to better express yourself and understand others.

Build and strengthen your community to improve the health of others as well as your own. One way you can help is by inviting the people you care about most to my webinar, The Importance of Community, to join us too.

Can’t Wait To Share With You On Wednesday, March 24th At 12:00 pm CDT!
